Application Case of Electrical Insulation Silicone Rubber

1. Insulating silicone rubber is widely used in the electrical industry, such as insulators and lightning arresters. How is it produced, what raw materials are used, and what is its working principle?


A. Production process

1. Material preparation: Silicone rubber raw rubber, white carbon black, silicon micropowder, etc., to enhance mechanical properties. Cross-linking agent Other additives: such as masterbatch, antioxidant, etc.

2. Configuration of basic rubber: Stir the epoxy resin at 50°C for 20 minutes. Add the treated methyl vinyl silicone rubber and vinyl. After drying, vacuum degassing for 1 hour after mechanical stirring to obtain the basic rubber.


3. Umbrella skirt molding: Put it in a blast oven at 130°C and preheat for 15 minutes. Place the mandrel in the mold, and after 5 minutes, use an automatic pressure gel machine equipped with a static mixing system to press the mixture into an umbrella skirt.


4. Molding and vulcanization molding: Place the epoxy glass fiber mandrel and silicone rubber with hardware crimped at both ends into the tooling mold cavity for molding. The molding pressure is 10-15MPa, the molding temperature is 160-180℃, the molding time is 10-15 minutes, and the mold is opened to obtain the molded product.


5.Thermal stability curing: First stage curing: Place the molded product in a high-temperature control room, set the temperature to 170-190℃, and keep it for 8-12 minutes. Second stage curing: Reduce the temperature of the high-temperature control room to 100-140℃ and keep it for 7-9 hours.

6. Inspection: Check that the appearance damage area is not more than 5 square millimeters and the tensile strength is not less than 147KN, and the qualified finished product is obtained.
